Liga Rudzite is a PhD Fellow at the Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration, Tallinn University of Technology, researching informal economy and development in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. She received her Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from Riga Stradins University, looking into the relationships between the representatives of foreign development organisations and local beneficiaries in Mongolia. She has been engaged in civil society organisations and movements in Latvia and on EU level for several years, working mostly on improving social inclusion and global development policies and practice. She has been part of the Policy Forum of the CONCORD – The European NGO confederation for relief and development. Liga’s academic interests are development theory and practice, development economics, politics of inclusion and exclusion and embodiment.
